Goodbye summer! I am not sure what season I should be inviting you to because Autumn starts on September 23 and summer officially ended on the 31st of August in Milan.

My recommendations are coming later than usual, but it’s better late than never. Where you at the Formula1 Milan Festival that held earlier this month in Milan? I missed it, I only saw Instagram videos that made me wish I didn’t.

The events that are yet to hold for September are:

Vogue for Milano – Fashion’s Night Out

On September 13th, a fashion-focused ‘White Night’ with events throughout the city and extended evening opening hours for shops and ateliers.

Milan Fashion Week Women’s

From September 18th to 24th, the traditional week dedicated to fashion will be spread across the entire city with runway shows, presentations, and events that anticipate the new womenswear trends of the season.

Milano Movie Week

Milano dedicates a week to the seventh art from September 14th to 21st. Screenings will hold across the city in collaboration with the Milano Film Festivals.

White

From September 23rd to 25th, emerging designers will present their collections in the most representative exhibition spaces of Zona Tortona, the dedicated Design Week area.

Milano Bike City

From September 15th to 30th, two weeks of events, contests, exhibitions, rides, and workshops. Milano Bike City will celebrate bicycles in the city.

Milano Green Week

Milano Green Week from September 27th to 30th is the first event promoted by the municipal administration to unite people for a single purpose – the environment. Meetings, workshops, walks, conferences, exhibitions, and shows are included in the programme.

MITO SettembreMusica

From September 3rd to 19th, the MITO SettembreMusica festival will return to Milan and Turin with a programme of 125 concerts by major international musicians who will alternate with performers from both participating cities.

Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2018 

From September 21st to Sunday 23rd, the Volleyball Men’s World Championship arrives in Milan for three days of matches. Go cheer for your favourite team!

Milano Calcio City 

September 27th to October 1st, CALCIOCITY is set aside for storytelling and narrators – the singers of modern heroes. It is dedicated to culture and football: spoken, told and played in all forms.

Concert: ‘Il Concerto della Speranza’ at laVerdi

On 29 September, this immersive, multimedia concert features the participation of young virtuoso musicians, including both Arab and Jewish youngsters from the Jerusalem Music Center performing a meld of classical symphonies from the different worlds and cultures meeting and merging with each other. 

‘Fall Special Concert’ by laVerdi and Teatro alla Scala

On 16th of September 2018, the Symphonic Orchestra Giuseppe Verdi in back on the stage of Teatro alla Scala for the yearly concert to welcome the advent of the Fall season.
